Perhaps using a sentiment that scrolls up the card
would be all you need to finish it,
along with a coloured matte.NormaJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10274806975179337841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-4328312026862350002008-04-17T13:35:00.000-04:002008-04-17T13:35:00.000-04:00Wow I love it!!!Wow I love it!!!Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08499407188004563155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-1435890643004345422008-03-24T21:52:00.000-04:002008-03-24T21:52:00.000-04:00I think it needs more definition between the blue ...I think it needs more definition between the blue part and the white part. A dark colored torn strip or a ribbon maybe?

I like the idea of something dangling, like a key. How about adding a strap and lock so it looks like a diary, with the lock placed 2/3 of the way from the top and on the seam between the two background colors?

Carol
Extreme Cards and Papercrafting Carol Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15166705366415665993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-24323825628836776212008-03-09T03:36:00.000-04:002008-03-09T03:36:00.000-04:00This is gorgeous; so much detailed work, but you a...This is gorgeous; so much detailed work, but you are right - it does need that little something extra.

If this is a journal then how about a vintage key or perhaps a cord down the left side with either a tassel or some beads.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737510389049653321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-49011532987748653452008-03-08T08:22:00.000-05:002008-03-08T08:22:00.000-05:00Is this a card or an altered book/notepad cover or...Is this a card or an altered book/notepad cover or an album cover? I can see this as a beautiful album cover. It's gorgeous and almost too gorgeous to be a card that will only be viewed once. Might you like to mat it and frame it?

If you really want to make it into a card, I think that you might feel it finished once you add a sentiment. Where? Good question. Maybe on the diagonal or in the upper right-hand corner.

Looking forward to seeing the end result!Brenda Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01322776202218433948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-5306905272372037632008-03-07T21:27:00.000-05:002008-03-07T21:27:00.000-05:00It's gorgeous! Hey, to save yourself some time, why not trim about 1/4 inch off the top and side of the card and mount the back of it on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of c/s the color that you would have used for a mat. (Did that make sense?) That gives it color but leave the card intact. If I can dig up one I've done I'll link to it from here.

BTW, nice card! I cannot pull off "busy" like that. ;-)Leslie Hannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13514397178022946975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-88439808274019122442008-03-07T15:43:00.000-05:002008-03-07T15:43:00.000-05:00I like it thew way it is but I like Flossie's idea...I like it thew way it is but I like Flossie's idea of a mat.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03604985023661817759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-38193965742751194362008-03-07T15:01:00.000-05:002008-03-07T15:01:00.000-05:00It is so pretty the way it is, the only thing I ca...It is so pretty the way it is, the only thing I can think of is maybe a mat behind it so it will stand out somewhat.Alhambra Clubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10629798857472205060noreply@blogger.com
