Pink and yellow towards the middle. Take for instance the color of the sky when the sun it going down. You have a beautiful lavender/blue with yellow/pink/orange....That is how I decide what colors to watercolor when I do a project. I look at the colors that nature give us. When using blues, I usually use three different blues with teals and greens even a bit of turquoise. Just remember the way the light would hit an object and take your color hints from there. I like what you have so far just go a little bit farthur and you will have a masterpiece.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06871452099434618315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-86061995075580882582008-03-13T20:32:00.000-04:002008-03-13T20:32:00.000-04:00I agree with the others - I like the left one bett...I agree with the others - I like the left one better. Something about the blue dress, I think. I am curious what you intend to do with it - a mat might be the touch you need to pull it all together.

Nice watercoloring, by the way. I totally avoid watercoloring, if possible, so I'd stamp this on patterned paper, cut out the dress and call it done! :-)Leslie Hannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13514397178022946975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-34361361125741650942008-03-08T08:14:00.000-05:002008-03-08T08:14:00.000-05:00I too like the left one better, i.e., the one with...I too like the left one better, i.e., the one with the blue dress. You're almost there with that one. I would add some pink/red hues to the sky like you have in the other picture. This would balance the red hues on either side of her. You might also add some gold/brown highlights to the red stained glass or maybe a dark blue. Maybe consider matting it on a blue also and shade the drapes a bit more. You're so close. Looking forward to seeing the finished one!Brenda Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01322776202218433948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-3021648515718041152008-03-07T21:47:00.000-05:002008-03-07T21:47:00.000-05:00I like the left one better...I like the left one better...Lindy Stamperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02290999816316917666noreply@blogger.com
