Check out JanTink's blog entry at http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2007/12/maggies-birthda.html. She just had a "the monogram blends in too much with the background paper" moment! ;-)Leslie Hannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13514397178022946975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-38279202159436081502007-12-18T20:17:00.000-05:002007-12-18T20:17:00.000-05:00You need a tiny bit of black around the letters an...You need a tiny bit of black around the letters and that would make them pop. White is usually the color that I tend to forget, but it can be very dramatic! can't wait to see what you come up with.

Kristin Moore
(sorry, I can't ever get my stupid google password to be accepted. You were on the right tract. Your letter is fine the size and colors it is. Just change the inbetween to a solid and everything will go nicely.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-60916343594723164872007-12-17T20:54:00.000-05:002007-12-17T20:54:00.000-05:00I agree with Leslie - the letter needs more contra...I agree with Leslie - the letter needs more contrast. The first card appears to have two letters - patterned mounted on white. The white layer could be olive or an even darker colour. Otherwise I would go with my favourite quick fix for adding a lift - gently sponging the edges of the letter with a darker colour, or even just swiping the edges with a dark/contrasting coloured inkpad - that still leaves the clean look that you haveElizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737510389049653321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-46016610956062003882007-12-17T16:39:00.000-05:002007-12-17T16:39:00.000-05:00I would combine Leslie and Flossie's ideas and mak...I would combine Leslie and Flossie's ideas and make the letter a solid color as well as make it's "shadow" darker.Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16708708423596855492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-55865407674672905922007-12-17T16:02:00.000-05:002007-12-17T16:02:00.000-05:00I would use a solid color for the monogram, this w...I would use a solid color for the monogram, this way it would stand out.Alhambra Clubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10629798857472205060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-299062874363530600.post-64464775446225742142007-12-17T15:05:00.000-05:002007-12-17T15:05:00.000-05:00What if the layer just under it was darker for con...What if the layer just under it was darker for contrast?
