Now What? - Takes 3 & 4

I've made this much of the card so far, and all it's got is potential. I think. When I am faced with a busy background like this, I freeze. I am really bad at collage-y things, too, probably for the same reason.

Any ideas for a sentiment? No sentiment? Wha?

Thanks in advance!

Update: I loved the idea of a coffee theme!!! I had this sentiment out (er, not put away yet), and I used the coffee cup from part of an A Muse image.

I used the blue for matting the sentiment to try and pull that color out a little. Do you think it also needs a layer of green before the brown?

I also really liked the idea of chipboard letters, but all of mine are as big as the card, so I opted to not use them.;-) I'll just file that idea away for another time!

Too much? Too little? Maybe some brads in the top corners?

Update Last:

For this version I added a green layer, and Ithink I like this one much better than the previous one.

Then I went a little crazy. I do not have a big coffee cup, but since I liked the idea of the sentiment on the cup, I tried to make one. I think if I leave off the silly line (my attempt to define the top of the cup), it will work.

Any final thoughts? Wanna vote? :-)

Thanks, as usual, for all your input!

I like the color scheme... it reminds me of something coffee related. Like Thanks a Latte' or let's have coffee or something girls chatting or something along those lines...

I also like the color combos....I would stamp on white...layer with the other contrasting colors in the dots, and keep it simple. In this case, I do not necessarily think a sentiment is due...but, would depend on the stamped image.Could go ANY way for ANy occassion...Love Lindy's idea about Latte....or shopping!

Ooh, I love the colors and what you've got so far... just needs that finishing touch. i'm thinking something bold yet simple like some blocky chipboard letters- maybe just HI in the bottom right or something?? Can't wait to see what you do!

I would like to see a rectangular/ square panel to the right with maybe olive?

This is a great color combo.

I love the card just the way it is, how about a sentiment handing off the bow, like a round tag.

I'm with heather (this isn't the first time, great minds, right?). OR how about making a coffee cup shaped piece and printing the sentiment on it, instead of a rectangle?

I like the one with the layered panels (with green looks great, but OK without it too). Your idea of some brads would be neat- maybe like 3 in a row somewhere... under the sentiment or maybe beside the layers to the top left of the rectangle??

I do like your coffee cup too, but it almost needs a layer behind it or something. They are all very cute though! You really worked it out!

A little late for ideas perhaps, but I just made a card with that paper last week and stamped brown directly on it. Here's a picture...

I love the 3rd card with the green layer, looks really sharp!Maybe add a sentiment on a circle of something like flossie says, that would be sharp!

Of them all my favourite is the one
with the added green matte and I think it is fine the way it is.
