Comments Please! Updated 02/26

Thanks for your comments. I've been playing around a bit...what do you think?

The leaves are crudely stuck in and can easily be removed.

This blog needs a little attention and affection AND I need your help. There's something missing or ??? with this card.

(sorry for the bad photo but it was dark when I took the photo and even darker now...do you all use a photo light box?)

What are your thoughts and suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I'm with you... it needs something, but I don't know what. Perhaps other readers can tell you. The sentiment in white bothers me for some reason & the center of the red flower seems too plain. Then again, maybe it's just the way it photographed : )

You're right it's missing something but what?

I was thinking have some background pattern but can't be too busy. What about embossing the plain part w/ a cuttlebug?

Funny, I was just on here the other day thinking we'd seriously neglected it! I think this card is lovely and could be left as it is. A very good example of clean and simple!

However, since you're asking, how would maybe the addition of a small bow of the same ribbon just at the top of where they hang, you know what I mean? Maybe put the rhinestone brad that they are hanging from in the center of the small ribbon??? I'm not entirely sure, but maybe tie one and hold it there to see.

I love the card and the idea is wonderful. The bow sounds like a great idea.

The red flower needs something so It will stand out. Maybe embossing in white or gold. Keep it simple. Everything else looks good to me.

What about stamping the flower in versamark on the base card to make a really subtle background?

And thanks for reviving Da Blog! :-)

Hey, I like it now! The leaves add an extra bit of interest. It photographed a LOT better this time, too.

It took me a while to work out what wasn't working with the first card but I eventually realised that it felt unbalanced - the flowers hanging off the ribbon seemed to be dragging down and made it look heavy.

Your addition of the leaves has changed all that. Great choice.

I love the addition of the leaves- the color and texture add just the right touch.

What about stamping the sentiment in red on a tag from the light colored paper you used for the scallop and using another snippet of ribbon .... it might make it to busy....

I don't have a light box, but I use my Ott light over my stuff when i take my pictures- sometimes it works, sometime it doesnt.

i think you should maybe try to ink the edges of the card in red as this would frame the whole project and also add a little bit of colour to compliement the cardstock.
