I think it is ok for me to post this card and ask for suggestions. But first let me say what an awesome idea this blog is.
I NEED and want help and would like honest feedback!!
I would like this card to be more "special" -- I like it, but don't LOVE it. Any ideas??
I have no idea if my signature appears below this post so I'll say who I am.

This is such a lovely card, maybe if you moved the sentiment a little to the left and matted it bigger.
I like this card, but agree it "needs" something.... I would maybe move the sentiment further to right to make it not centred on the strip. What about some white snowflakes on the pink base?
Welcome! I like the simple lines of the card but the left pink panel reminds me of a blank wall that needs a little something. What about adding some texture to the pink left panel ala Cuttlebug (or the like?)
I'm w/ Heather, maybe the pink portion can stand to have something on them. Like snowflake stamped as a background and leave the white portion the same?
I LOVE your comments. So much better than silence or "that's nice." This blog rocks. I'm going to redo the card and try out these ideas. Keep them coming...
Well...I guess I am late with a comment....but, I LOVE this stamp!!!...and my suggestion would be to make a "background" design on the pink...whether with a stamped versamark pattern or a cuttlebug emboss.....oh..and RIBBON, of course!
Hey Joan,
Love you blog. I would be happy to receive it just as is. I agree about shifting the sentiment. It also might be cute to add a few pink snow flakes falling down on the little girls head.
The only thing I would add is some ribbon on the left. Otherwise I think it's good!
Your Dear Paperlicious posts are cracking me up, btw! Keep up the good work.
Well, I'm a lover of simplicity but I think it would look nice with a matt of light pink cut with scallop scissors under the white panel. It would tie in the scallops on the circle.
Maybe scallop the white piece and it would blend in with the scallop of the circle. It's a cute card, just needs to be gussied up a bit.
Late to the party, as usual. Darn Day Job is keeping me too busy!
I'd run a ribbon down the left edge of the pink panel. I also like the idea of adding texture with the 'bug.
Please update your post with your re-worked creation!
Love this card.
But need one more layer..
The purple brad and purple boots could all be connected with a purple mat underneath the white mat.
An eight of an inch is all you need.(Just on the sides not the top and bottom.
No one is late to this party. I gave this card away last week, so I will work on a new one!!
How about a somewhat narrow strip of tone on tone patterned paper with a cut scallop edge, then a ribbon layered over it, the length of the card, with a little knot tied at the top left. How's that for specific?? :)
Love the clean simple look of this thought (guess you couldn't tell by my suggestion to add a bunch of junk!)
