Snowman Quandry

I always have trouble with snowmen and blue and white Christmas cards, so I don't know why I bother. I thought this combination might work but it needs something. That's a line of glittered glue (not glitter glue) along the curve in the center and the snowman is embossed with Diamond Sparkle embossing powder. The cardstock for the card itself, and the largest scallop circle, is light blue Bazzill Bling.
Revised card here
I'm open to suggestions! Should I just stick with the traditional colors and quit beating myself over the head with blue and white?? Thanks :-)

I actually love the colors! It fits in with the theme! The embossed background ties in so well with the snowman image. I think your card looks fabulous the way it is.

hmm- I think you are pretty close on the card. I love the embossed background and I like your colors.

I like it, but if you are not happy you could try switching the blues. I think the dark on top is a little stark for the image. What if you used the light blue instead, and then switched the matting on the circle?

I think you got an awesome combo going on there. But like Maureen was saying, if you're not happy w/ it, then try other combos. If you want to keep working on this one, my only suggestion is to add some sentiment on the front. My 2 cents

I love it the way it is! I personally get tired of all the red & green. ;-)

What about adding a sentiment on the right side, somewhere?

I love the colors also....I always thought that blue/white/silver are PERFECT for SNOW holiday cards. Perhaps once you add a sentiment to offset the snowguy ( in the lower right corner) it might talk to you.

I could do without the scallop edging around the snowman, unless that's just the way the circle comes. I think the embossed snowflake part is stunning and verra verra clever.

I like the dark blue background with the light blue and the card is great. The only thing I could think to add would be the old faithful ribbon. I know that when decorating, you should have the darkest color on the bottom so maybe the ribbon would help.

Love the idea of this blog. This card is going good, but I agree it needs something.

I think I would try a bit of folded ribbon sticking out of the image, and under the scallop and see how that looks. Also, a sentiment in the lower right corner.

Thanks for your help! I will add a sentiment and see how that works, I think you're right that it needs something to balance the snowman. I will post the finished one when I get it done. I would love to see everyone else's revised cards, too.
