Need Help in Finishing This Card!

I need your help in finishing this birthday card for my friend. I like the criss-cross card but cannot figure out whether it needs a "tab" for the insert or not. I need to put it into a medium-sized envelope so cannot have a tab that protrudes or not. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

I really like this! A tab on the card would be a nice touch.

I have one of those criss-cross cards I just finished for a class.
I will try to post it so you can take a look. On the original I used a sewing machine around the edges but for class can't. My suggestion would be to move the bow to the right or left and add something in the middle like maybe a flower?

A tab would be nice if you can fit it in but if not maybe just ink around the edges like Paula's card? Or stamp (or doddle) a border along the top. I agree with Paula about moving the bow - I think to the left.

Love this card! I agree that a tab at the top would add a lot...and you could punch a flower to put on the tab if you didn't want to put any more words on. For the outer sleeve, I wouldn't change a thing!

How about a happy birthday circle greeting of some sort, maybe from Riveting or Circle of Friendship or even Be Happy. If you choose this option you could layer it on the outside of the card, but hanging over the criss cross a bit, maybe on the left side (then leave the bow where it is possibly). Just a thought- this is adorable- you are off to a fantastic start. I'm sure there are a lot of different ideas that would be the perfect finishing touch!

If a tab will still allow your card to fit into the envelope, then go for it. I just have to say however, that your bow is perfect, how did you get it so clean?

I like the tab if you can do it.... not only looks good but helps get that pull-out out.

Great card!

I always add a tab with either a small image stamp or a small sentiment...sometimes I use both if it doesn't look too busy. This is very cute!
